Refreshing Rosemary Foot Bath
A cold water bath for hot, swollen fee provides a refreshing sensation on a summer day. The practice of walking in cold water or cool wet grass was a popular 19th century remedy believed to induce a tonifying reflex action on the organs of the body such as the liver and Kidneys. The therapeutic uses of this foot bath include relief for aching feed and for fatigue and exhaustion. The analgesic properties of Rosemary will soothe the feet as the woody balsamic scent revives the mind. Tea Tree Oil is added for its powerful antiseptic ability to deodorize the feet.
Water
1 sprig of Rosemary with leaves broken into pieces
6 drops of Tea Tree Oil
Fill large bowl or dishpan with cold water. Add Rosemary leaves and Tea Tree Oil along with a dozen ice cubes. Swish the water to disperse the oil. Dip one foot into water for 30 seconds, remove and rub entire foot vigorously with towel. Return foot to bath and keep repeating the action until foot becomes red. Towel off and dry. Repeat with opposite foot.
